The Oakland Raiders return home after a five-week stretch of being on the road in a must-win game against a tough Detroit Lions team.

The Oakland Raiders are coming off a tough loss to the Houston Texans in a game that was very winnable, but the team is still in playoff contention sitting at 3-4 heading into an easier schedule in the second half of the season. On Sunday, they welcome in the Detroit Lions, their first time hosting a team inside the Coliseum since Week 2.

The Detroit Lions have surprised a lot of people this season, sitting at 3-3-1 in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. Matthew Stafford is playing as well as ever, but the Lions have a lot of holes in their game that Oakland will look to expose.

In 2019, the Raiders offense has been impressive, and once again, it has been the defense that has been beatable on a week-to-week basis. If the Silver and Black are going to win this one, they have to find a way to stop Stafford, something they failed to do against Deshaun Watson last weekend.

Here is our preview and prediction for the Week 9 matchup.
