Edge. Eagles . Maxx Crosby. 106. player. 404.

The defense was a focal point for the Raider this offseason. They went out and grabbed Lamarcus Joyner in free agency, used six of the nine picks on the defensive side of the ball, and it’s paying off. Maxx Crosby has been a force on the defensive line and is one of the most consistent players on the defense.

Crosby is tied for second place with Maurice Hurst for sacks with 2, as Benson Mayowa leads the team with 5.5. Even more impressive is his 13 hurries on the season with two batted down balls. He’s also making the most of offensive mistakes with 10 stops on mistakes by the offense. Crosby has been outplaying Clelin Ferrell, even being drafted 102 positions after him.

Isaiah Johnson. 129. player. 881. . Cornerback. Cougars

Isaiah Johnson had a rough start as he was placed on Injured Reserve on September 3rd, 2019 after sustaining a concussion. He recently returned to practice, and his debut for the Raiders could be coming up shortly.

At the time, the Raiders defense had no room for him to be a starter, but with Conley gone, there could be some room for him once he returns.

player. 817. . Tight End. Tigers . Foster Moreau. 137

Another instant impact rooke has been Foster Moreau. The tight end is an excellent run blocker and can set an edge. Together, with breakout star Darren Waller, they make a killer team where teams have a hard time covering both at the same time with Williams on the field.

Let’s not forget, the offense was supposed to be Darren Waller, Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, and Josh Jacobs, and Moreau has been an incredible addition.

Moreau is the second-rated receiver on the Raiders behind the one and only Waller. In fact, Moreau has caught over 90% of his passes on the season and two touchdowns with a 10.1 yards per reception. However, just like Waller, where he excels is in yards after the catch with an average of 5.5 to Waller’s 5.7, with every catch he’s falling forward 5 yards after the ball is in his hands.

Even better is he ranks in the top-5 of the run-blocking on this team currently as well. It seems that the Raiders have found a great combination of tight ends with Waller and Moreau.
