3 Duds

Raiders Secondary

Oakland came out with the victory, but it came down to a stop on fourth and goal. Matthew Stafford had his way with the Raiders secondary, throwing for 406 yards. Kenny Golladay went for 132 yards and a touchdown, Marvin Jones Jr. notched 126 yards and touchdown and showed that this secondary is still in need of improvement (and possibly an upgrade).

Raiders Penalties

In back-to-back weeks, Oakland lost the penalties battle, and for a second there it seemed as if it might potentially cost them a victory (again). 10 penalties for 96 yards helped give the Stafford and the Lions chances to get back into the game, closing the lead and almost forcing overtime.

T.J. Hockenson

Oakland’s defense is notorious for getting carved up tight ends, and if there was a game for T.J. Hockenson to bounce back it was set up for Sunday. Hockenson caught three receptions on seven targets for 56 yards, easily his best game since Week 1, but by no means the dominant game he could have registered.
