Kansas City Chiefs

No Patrick Mahomes, no problem for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The division was expected to be as wide open as its ever been when Mahomes was sidelined with a knee injury, but ever since the Chiefs have managed to keep pace and stay atop the division. A 26-23 win over the Minnesota Vikings helped keep Kansas City as the division leader.

Matt Moore connected with Tyreek Hill in the first quarter to put the Chiefs up 7-0 early on, but the Vikings kept the game within reach throughout all four quarters. It came down to a 44-yard Harrison Butker field goal as time expired.

A significant victory for the Chiefs as they await the return of the reigning NFL MVP much sooner than expected, according to recent reports.
