Denver Broncos

Maybe it was just a matter of replacing Joe Flacco with Brandon Allen, or perhaps its ultimately that the Cleveland Browns are a disaster. Either way, the AFC West officially went undefeated as the Denver Broncos toppled Baker Mayfield and the Browns 24-19. The Browns, at 2-6, continue their downward spiral of the season.

Brandon Allen, in his first career start, thoroughly outplayed the former top overall pick in Baker Mayfield (it really blows your mind, doesn’t it?) Allen threw two touchdowns and no interceptions as he helped pace the Broncos to their third victory of the season.

A bye week is next up for the Broncos, after which Denver will head on the road for a Week 11 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Moving up in the AFC West is unlikely, but the second half of the season is an opportunity to make strides for the long-term.
