Two touchdowns by tight ends

Jon Gruden’s offense hadn’t been known for leveraging the tight end group, but this season has flipped the so far. The Raiders have arguably the best tight end group in the league with Darren Waller, Foster Moreau, and Derek Carrier. Waller was hyped up as a star heading into the season, and he has done nothing but exceed those expectations.

And yet Moreau and Carrier have more than carved up vital roles in the passing game. Waller and Moreau have three touchdowns apiece, while Carrier has yet to find the endzone. That very well could change come Thursday night.

While he came up empty on Sunday, expect Darren Waller to return to the endzone against the Chargers. Look for Derek Carr to be sharp once again in the passing game, and on Thursday night he’ll leverage the advantage he has by tossing (at least) two touchdowns to his tight ends.
