One of the Raiders’ most questionable positions is their inside linebacker, especially with the uncertainty of Vontaze Burfict‘s future in the league. Mayock continues his pattern of selecting players from the best teams in college football, selecting Ohio State’s Malik Harrison.
Harrison is a 6’3 240-pound middle linebacker for one of the best teams in college football and is a player who can make tackles, read defenses, and get to the quarterback. If Harrison can come in and learn from Burfict for a year, and really learn how to run the defense, he could be a huge pickup for the Raiders.
For years, the linebacker spot has been a liability for the Raiders, so it would make sense for the Raiders to use one of their first four picks next April on the position. Harrison is a special talent, and as a true senior, he would come in as one of the more NFL-ready linebackers in this draft class.
