Derek Carr’s primetime magic at home
We have seen this picture before haven’t we? The Oakland Raiders will play under the bright lights of Thursday Night Football in Week 10, and they certainly have the right quarterback under center for the festivities. In primetime games at home, Derek Carr is a magician, just ask the Kansas City Chiefs, who had their hearts ripped out by Carr back in 2017 on Thursday night.
For Carr, the 2019 season is his second in Jon Gruden’s system, and he is showing the kind of mastery that has propelled him back into the conversation of being one of the top young quarterbacks in the game. With a big performance against the Chargers on Thursday night, he can continue to silence his doubters, much as he has been this entire season.

Carr has been at his best lately, as he has been protecting the ball, taking shots downfield, and extending plays with his legs. If it comes down to the Raiders with the ball at the end of this game looking for the win, you can almost guarantee that Carr is going to lead this team to the victory in front of the Raiders faithful.
