Final Record

Typically it takes about 10 wins to make the playoffs, however, there is a log-jam of teams fighting for the last AFC Wild Card spot and all of them have a record around the .500 mark. With such a competitive race, this could be a year where nine wins are good enough for a postseason birth.

For the Raiders, that means playing in January is within reach, but the team might need a bit of help to get there.

While nine wins and finishing outside of the playoff picture might be disappointing, the Raiders would have nothing to be ashamed about. Very few teams, if any, will be able to say they doubled their win total from the year before, so that’s an accomplishment in its own right.

Regardless of the postseason situation, a nine-win season should give Raiders fans plenty of optimism as the team moves to Las Vegas.

Prediction: 9-7
