With only three divisional teams in action on Sunday, the Oakland Raiders came out as huge victors on and off the field. Here’s our recap of the AFC West in Week 10.

The AFC West was open when Patrick Mahomes was briefly sidelined with a knee injury, and now the door might be open even wider now that he’s returned? An odd statement from the eye test, but it rings true after the events that unfolded for the division in Week 10. Also true, the Oakland Raiders came out on top on the field and off the field in the week that was.

The Denver Broncos were the lone team on their bye, while the Raiders hosted the Los Angeles Chargers for an AFC West Thursday Night Football battle. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs welcomed the return of Patrick Mahomes as they hosted the surging Tennessee Titans, led by newly crowned starter Ryan Tannehill.

Prior to Sunday’s events, the Raiders looked primed for a run at a hopeful Wild Card spot in the AFC. Now? They very well could be in play for the top spot in the division, with a very favorable matchup on the horizon. How did Oakland get here? With a wild Week 10 that could not have gone better for the Silver and Black.

Here is the week that was for the AFC West in Week 10.
