Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders, coming off a significant win over the Detroit Lions and with an offense clicking on all cylinders, were riding the momentum heading into Thursday Night Football. On the other side was the Los Angeles Chargers, coming off an impressive win of their own, bottling up Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers the week prior.

But on Thursday night it was an old fashioned AFC West battle, and the Raiders got on the scoreboard early all thanks to their defense. Erik Harris notched two early interceptions, returning the latter for a touchdown. Maxx Crosby and Clelin Ferrell were a dynamic duo, constantly putting pressure on Philip Rivers who was erratic with his passes.

Meanwhile, Derek Carr again was sharp and poised when it mattered most, helping lead a comeback drive that was capped with a Josh Jacobs game-winning touchdown run. A Karl Joseph interception sealed the Raiders’ 26-24 victory.
