Kansas City Chiefs

When the final score read 35-32, the Kansas City Chiefs lost and the Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders won. Yes, the upset that occurred with Ryan Tannehill leading the game-winning drive added to Tennessee’s win column but gave the Raiders a huge boost in a very wide-open AFC West. The Raiders didn’t play on Sunday, but they sure won by the afternoon.

Patrick Mahomes returned for Kansas City, and he didn’t miss a beat in his return on Sunday. Mahomes threw for 446 yards and three touchdowns, finding Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Mecole Hardman for a touchdown apiece. For a majority of the afternoon, it looked like Kansas City had their seventh win of the season in the bag.

But Ryan Tannehill had other plans, leading a clutch comeback drive to put the Titans up 35-32 late in the fourth. But the Titans answered all Raiders’ fans prayers as Harrison Butker‘s 52-yard field goal attempt to send the game into overtime was blocked. Chiefs lose, and with the Raiders just a half a game behind in the standings, the AFC West is very much open for business.
