Compete against each other

The common theme throughout these next two weeks is the Raiders need to manufacture competition to avoid complacency. When it comes to competing, the team’s next couple opponents don’t exactly hold up their end of the bargain.

Creating small battles between the people in the building can help keep the competitive culture alive.

Whether its Zay Jones and Hunter Renfrow trying to rack up more receiving yards than the other, or Maxx Crosby and Clelin Ferrell seeing who can get more pressure on the quarterback; the team needs to find more ways to compete.

A lot of coaches feel that competition brings out the best in their players. With that philosophy in mind, only competing once a week against an inferior opponent is not how to maximize everyone’s potential. Daily competitions where teammates are pushing each other to get better is how the team as a whole grows and ultimately makes a playoff run.

Next. Raiders need Carr's leadership now more than ever. dark
