Erik Harris

Erik Harris had a breakout game against the Chargers, but he has produced a ton outside of just that one game. Harris picked off Philip Rivers twice on Thursday and could have had another one had their not been a penalty.

With the absence of Karl Joseph, Harris’ role could be expanded. With the inexperience of Bengals quarterback Ryan Finley, the Raiders defense could have another big day. If the pass rush can get to Finley, he will more than likely be forced to make bad passes, and if anyone is going to be there to make a play on the ball, it will be Harris.

While the Bengals should be an easy task for this defense, there lies trouble ahead, and Harris’ growth will be crucial to this team making a deep run towards a playoff berth. Harris is one of the better stories in recent memory when it comes to the Raiders, as he has become a team leader, and a guy who symbolizes the transformation of this Oakland roster.
