The Oakland Raiders have the chance to move atop the AFC West standings, and it begins with Sunday’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Here are three bold predictions for Week 11.

The Oakland Raiders are riding high off the momentum of back-to-back wins and from sitting just a game behind the AFC West-leading Kansas City Chiefs. The talk of playoffs is no longer wishful thinking or a laughing matter, as the season stands that goal is very much within reach. To steer towards the postseason, the path continues on Sunday against the 0-9 Cincinnati Bengals.

Derek Carr and Jon Gruden have remained humble nonetheless, and they are not taking any chances of being overconfident heading into Sunday. After all, the Raiders did fall to the Bengals last season on the road, and Carr personally has been on the other side of pulling the upset (he lost his first 10 games in his rookie year, and knocked off Kansas City for his first regular-season win).

Nonetheless, numbers don’t lie and the season rankings could very well tell the story of what’s to come on Sunday. Cincinnati has been abysmal against the run, while its the Raiders’ strength. The Bengals are starting a rookie quarterback, while Oakland’s defense could be coming into its own.
