The Oakland Raiders have the top spot in the AFC West within reach after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 17-10. Here are three things we learned from Sunday’s win.

The Oakland Raiders truly never like to make it easy, as the Silver and Black fended off the winless Cincinnati Bengals to reach 6-4 on the season, and are currently tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the top spot in the AFC West. Oakland allowed the Bengals to stay within reach all afternoon, but a win is a win and the score read 17-10 by the final whistle, and that’s all that matters.

On Sunday, while the offense couldn’t get off to a quick start, it was the young defense that ultimately secured the win for the Raiders. The defensive line was ruthless all afternoon, with a particular rookie standout. The young secondary showed flashes, and Derek Carr was sharp once again when called upon.

Sunday’s win over the Bengals caps off a three-game undefeated home stand for the Raiders and sets them up nicely as they head on the road next week to face the New York Jets.

Here are three things we learned from Oakland’s sixth victory of the season.
