Game Preview

The Raiders will be favored against the Jets, but there are some unfavorable matchups for Oakland in this game. The Raiders have relied heavily on their run game this season, but it will be difficult to run against the Jets considering they allow less rushing yards per game than any team in the NFL.

The Jets have a solid defense all around, but they struggle to move the ball and put points on the board. New York ranks last in the NFL in yards per game, averaging only 248.2 total yards per game. Despite the addition of Leveon Bell, the Jets have struggled to help him find success behind a banged-up offensive line, and Sam Darnold has not helped him out in the passing game.

This could turn out to be a low scoring game, especially if Josh Jacobs struggles to get going. The Raiders may have to rely on their passing game in this game, but Derek Carr should be up for the challenge. The Raiders have done a great job recently of not turning the ball over, so if it comes down to field position and ball security, the Raiders should have a massive advantage.
