Prediction

The Jets’ offense will be the downfall of the team this week, as Le’Veon Bell will continue to struggle, and the offensive line of the Jets will fold under the pressure of the Raiders’ young pass rush.

Maxx Crosby and Clelin Ferrell are really coming into their own as of late, and this could be another breakout game for both players. The Jets allow over four sacks per game, and Crosby recorded four sacks alone last week.

Darnold may not be “seeing ghosts” against Oakland, but the defense has stepped up lately and should cause Darnold a lot of problems on Sunday. In just seven starts this season, Darnold has thrown ten interceptions, and with the pressure, the Raiders will put on him, that number should increase after this week.

The Raiders will be able to control the pace of the game and keep it simple. As long as Derek Carr is able to be safe with the ball and make sure the offense limits its mistakes, the Raiders should be able to win this game without scoring a ton of points.

Moving the chains and scoring in important moments will be the key to victory for this offense, as 20 points should be enough to win the game. The Jets have only scored over 20 points three times this season, while the Raiders have reached that mark seven times.

The Raiders will not take the Jets lightly, and although the score will be somewhat close, the game will not be. The Raiders will control the game from start to finish, frustrating Sam Darnold throughout the game, moving the chains on offense, and winning a low scoring game to move to 7-4.

Prediction: Raiders 21, Jets 10
