Denver Broncos
Overall, Week 12 was not a great display of competition coming from the AFC West. Like the Raiders, the Denver Broncos fell to another AFC East team in the Buffalo Bills, scoring a lone field goal all afternoon much like the Silver and Black. Buffalo’s defense stifled Denver’s offense all game long, and the Bills came out on top in nearly every statistical category of this head-to-head.
Brandon Allen was sacked four times by the Bills’ pass rush, and Denver’s leading receiver was Cortland Sutton who was neutralized, hauling in one lone reception on eight targets for just 27 yards. Aside from a Bills win, another notable takeaway came from Frank Gore‘s 65 yards rushing. By the game’s end, Gore passed Barry Sanders for third place on the NFL’s all-time rushing leaders list.
The win bumped Buffalo to a strong 8-3 on the season, and the cherry on top was the historical feat that Frank Gore was able to enjoy. On the opposite end, Denver sits at a contrasting 3-8 record, still last in the AFC West.
