Reality hit hard for the Oakland Raiders this weekend and they need to quickly regroup and they need to regroup quickly and solve things on both sides of the ball.

Coming into Sunday, the Oakland Raiders were riding a three-game winning streak and looked confident heading to the game against the New York Jets. However, the Jets had something else in mind as they came out and laid the smack down on the Raiders 34-3 and made it look like they were the team fighting for the playoffs.

This was about as disappointing of a performance as the Raiders have had this season, and they have now dropped to 1-4 on the road. Derek Carr and Josh Jacobs had their worst performances of the season, and the defense provided little resistance to Sam Darnold.

The Raiders will have to pick themselves up off the ground and get ready for their biggest game of the season next week against the Kansas City Chiefs. With a win next Sunday, the Raiders can tie the Chiefs for first place in the AFC West.

But before that, let’s take a look back at this game and talk about three things we learned during this loss.
