Round 3, Pick No. 80 (From Chicago Bears): Tyler Johnson, WR, Minnesota

Many believe the Raiders will select a wide receiver in the first round of this draft, but there are other more important needs. This is an extremely deep wide receiver class and Tyler Johnson is a player that would succeed right away in Oakland’s offense.

Johnson is a big reason in Minnesota’s success this season, with 900 yards and nine touchdowns on the year. The Golden Gophers have been one of the more pleasant surprises in the Big Ten this season, and Johnson is certainly a reason why.

The Raiders have talent at wide receiver in guys like Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow, but they need that true WR1 at the top of the depth chart. Johnson is a guy who could come in and hurt defenses as a rookie, sending Williams back to the WR2 spot, where he has shown himself capable of playing his best football.
