The Oakland Raiders travel to Arrowhead Stadium for a deciding matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. Here are three things to look out for in Week 13.
In the NFL, the season is a marathon as opposed to a sprint, and it is advantageous for teams to be able to forget the events of the week prior and ready themselves for next Sunday. The Oakland Raiders sorely need that ability, as they undoubtedly laid an egg against the New York Jets last week.
Up next, they face a deciding game on the road against a well-rested Kansas City Chiefs team.
At 6-5 on the season, the Raiders may have been temporarily knocked out of the last AFC Wild Card spot, but they are very much still in the postseason race, even with the possibility of a division title within reach. In order to achieve that goal, Oakland must first overcome a Chiefs team coming off of a bye, a trail that has proven to be advantageous for Kansas City, as Andy Reid is 17-3 coming off of a bye week.
Kansas City will be prepared, the Chiefs have the upper hand in talent, and the cold weather will be a deciding factor for one of the two quarterbacks. For the Raiders to pull off the upset, these three aspects will be key to monitor on Sunday.
