Trent Brown

After signing a very lucrative deal in the offseason, the big tackle has been as good as advertised. Trent Brown has been a mauler as a run-blocker and has only surrendered one sack on the year. That’s a dramatic improvement in the production the Raiders received from their right tackles last season.

As previously mentioned, the ground game will be a crucial piece to Oakland’s game plan this weekend. Jacobs found a lot of success running to the right side of the line in week two and a large reason was the play of Brown. Play caller Jon Gruden will try to exploit this again, which means the veteran lineman will need to bring his ‘A-game’.

Even with Emmanuel Ogbah out, Kansas City still has an effective edge defender in Frank Clark. The pass rusher only has five sacks on the year, but four of them have come in the last three weeks, so he’s playing his best ball as of late.

Brown is certainly more than capable of holding his own against Clark, but the tackle can’t afford to have a misstep this week.
