DeAndre Washington

As an RB3 on an NFL roster, DeAndre Washington’s role within the team may not seem like a big deal, but with the run-heavy offense that the Raiders employ, Washington’s role is more important than what some may realize.

The Raiders hand Josh Jacobs the ball all game almost every time they play, and although it has worked for Oakland so far, they are going to have to reduce Jacobs’ role if they want him to be around for a long time.

The second back on the depth chart is Jalen Richard, a solid second option, but a player with a very unique skill set that would not be able to take the load off of Jacobs. The Raiders need another power back who can take the ball in short-yardage situations and can relieve some of the workload from Jacobs.
