Josh Mauro

The Raiders pass rush has improved this season, and the group of defensive ends has been a pleasant surprise, although they are sometimes inconsistent. The group of Clelin Ferrell, Maxx Crosby, and Benson Mayowa have done a great job of getting to the quarterback this season, and before Arden Key was injured, he was showing great promise.

With the addition of Dion Jordan, Josh Mauro’s role will be even more decreased than it was before, and although Mauro is not a bad player, the Raiders will not need him in 2020. The Raiders will need to add an additional pass rusher in the draft to complement the strong, young group they have now, and Mauro has not done a good enough job to beat any of the previously mentioned players out for a spot.

With zero sacks and only 14 tackles on the season, Coach Gruden should have no problems moving on from Mauro after this season.
