Pick Analysis. Alabama. 829. Scouting Report. Linebacker. DylanMoses. 18. player

The Raiders have ignored the idea of drafting a linebacker in the early rounds for five-plus years. With the ammunition that they possess at the top of the draft, this is the year that they could finally pull the trigger.

Dylan Moses‘ fits the Raiders defense like a glove. Oakland’s linebacking corps desperately needs a player in the middle of their defense that possess sideline range while also filling the gaps to stop the opposing team’s running attack, and Mosses’ does exactly that. Ultimately, Moses’ is a freak athlete with plenty of strength to be a huge factor at the next level.

Prior to his season ending knee injury, Moses’ was the consensus No.1 linebacker in this upcoming draft. He’s still a lock first rounder despite the gruesome injury, but a lot will depend on how well he bounces back, and what he shows the scouts at Alabama’s pro day and combine.

Pros:

  • Body type
  • Sideline-to-sideline range
  • Physicality in shedding blockers

Cons:

  • Coming off injury
  • Needs additional reps in coverage drops
  • Vision/ awareness
