Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have now had two quarterbacks make their NFL debut this season, and both of those individuals have led the way to victory. On Sunday, it was Drew Lock, drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft, leading the Broncos to their second victory over the Los Angeles Chargers this season.

On paper, the Chargers prevailed in total yards gained, passing yards, and rushing yards. Los Angeles won the time of possession and against a rookie quarterback should have walked away with the victory. Instead, heartbreak ensued once more as the Broncos were gifted with an opportunity to seal the win.

After a defensive pass interference that helped Denver wind down the clock to just three seconds, Brandon McManus converted a 53-yard game-winning field goal to bring Denver to 4-8 on the season, with a 23-20 victory over the Chargers on Sunday.
