Los Angeles Chargers

One can make a very valid argument that no one loses in such heartbreaking fashion as the Los Angeles Chargers. In each of the Chargers’ eight losses this season, the margin of defeat has been a touchdown or less. The Chargers’ losses this season have come by way of their own mistakes and Sunday’s loss to the Broncos was no different.

With the score tied 20-20 and nearing overtime, the Chargers committed a 37-yard defensive pass interference, setting up Denver and Brandon McManus for a 53-yard game-winning field goal attempt. Safe to say, McManus nailed the kick through the uprights.

Los Angeles falls to 4-8, tied with Denver but dropped to the bottom of the standings via tiebreaker. While not mathematically eliminated from playoff contention just yet, the Chargers’ best bet in the final month of football is to play spoiler for other playoff hopefuls.
