Possible draft pick trade destinations for Derek Carr in 2020
By Nick Ellis
It is believed that the Bengals won’t select a quarterback with the first pick of the draft, but if the Bengals were able to trade Carr for their second round pick, they could take Chase Young from Ohio State with the first pick of the draft. Young is the unquestioned best player in the 2020 NFL Draft, and with the Bengals in full rebuild mode, he may be the better pick at No. 1 overall.
The Bengals would have weapons for Carr, especially if A.J. Green decides to stay, as they also have an explosive running back in Joe Mixon. In addition, head coach Zac Taylor is considered a Sean McVay protegee, and he would love to bring in a talented quarterback like Carr for his second year in the NFL.
The odds are, Carr will be the team’s quarterback when they head to Las Vegas, as it appears Mark Davis loves him, and Gruden has not had a bad word to say about him. However, we have seen Gruden say things on one hand, and do the complete opposite in the past, and if the Raiders end the season on a downward trend, who knows what will happen as the team moves to Sin City.
