Dwayne Harris
For the last couple of years, the Raiders have used a roster spot on the return specialist who happens to play wide receiver. Keeping Dwayne Harris on the team paid dividends last season, as he put together a handful of impactful plays, however, this year it looks like age is starting to catch up to him.
The 32-year old battled an ankle injury for the majority of 2019 and will finish the season on injured reserve.
Heading into the offseason, one of the team’s biggest needs is a wide receiver and not just one. Oakland has spent the majority of the year trying to find a number two receiver and doesn’t have a number one option either.
The organization needs to add as much talent to the receiving core as possible, and that likely means the end of Harris’ tenure as a Raider. He gave us flashes, but with his age, and the fact Jalen Richard can return if need be, Harris does not bring much value anymore.
