The offseason is quickly approaching and when it comes to the Oakland Raiders roster, there are a lot of decisions to be made.

With a little bit less than a month to go on the season, it’s time to start looking ahead to the offseason. Sitting around and waiting until the playoff run is officially over is too late, so the discussion about next year needs to start now for the Raiders franchise.

Before the Oakland Raiders start to worry about free agency and the draft, general manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden have some decisions to make with their own players who are set to hit the open market. This is a roster that took a big leap forward from 2018 to 2019, and there is still a lot of work left to be done.

The Raiders are set to have 21 unrestricted free agents when the season concludes, an enormous number when you consider the team only carries 53 men on their roster. Last year,  the Raiders had no problems stripping down the roster, and in 2020, as they head to Las Vegas, the team will be looking to take another step forward.

A lot of dead weight will be removed from the roster and here are five players the team shouldn’t bother resigning.
