Derek Carr

If there was ever a game where Derek Carr has to play at his highest level, it’s this week against the Titans. Since Jon Gruden took over as the Raiders head coach almost two years ago, the pondering question has been, is Gruden sold on Carr has his quarterback of the future?

While Carr orchestrated the Oakland offense at a high level through the team’s first two and a half months, his last two games have been an enormous disaster. With Carr’s recent play descending and Gruden holding two first-round draft picks, the decision to look at a quarterback prospect come draft day could look appealing if Carr doesn’t get his offense going in the right direction.

In Carr’s three career games facing the Titans he holds a record of 3-0 with six touchdowns to one interception. Although, in Carr’s past two outings he has thrown one touchdown and three interceptions to go along with his average of 174.5 yards per game.

It’s crunch time for Carr to not only save the Raiders season as they currently find themselves on the outside looking in to the playoff hunt, but also his future as the starting quarterback once the teams opens up the doors to their new home of Las Vegas.
