The Oakland Raiders have had a horrible last two weeks, but one positive of that is that we get to see more clearly what positions they need to attack in the off-season.

The Oakland Raiders hold two first round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, and one position that the experts can agree on is them bringing in a wide receiver. They have no WR1 to speak of as they head into Las Vegas, so expect them to land one of them early next April.

Let’s take a look at who some of the experts around the country think the Raiders should target in the 2020 NFL draft.

Pick 16- Henry Ruggs III- WR- Alabama

It has been clear that the Raiders lack a solid WR1 on their roster, and the downfall of Tyrell Williams and the Raiders offense further proves this. As much hate as Derek Carr has gotten recently, it is clear to see that his receivers are not getting open. Ruggs is the fastest receiver in college football and would give a new boost to a Raiders offense that lacks speed.

Pick 18- Kenneth Murray- LB- Oklahoma

The Raiders have significantly struggled at linebacker for years, and Murray would be a big piece in fixing this issue. Not only can Murray tackle as well as any player in the draft, he can play in coverage and has great range across the field. Raiders linebackers struggle in coverage, and Murray could fix that.

Pick 16- Tee Higgins- WR- Clemson

Not only do the Raiders lack speed in their wide receiver group, they also lack a deep threat. Once again, Derek Carr receives a lot of hate for not throwing the ball downfield, but what receiver on the roster is a deep threat that can create separation down the field? Tee Higgins would bring that skill set to the team, and pairing former Clemson teammates Higgins and Hunter Renfrow could be deadly.

Pick 18- Justin Herbert- QB- Oregon

If the Raiders do decide to take a QB in the first round, Justin Herbert would be a solid option. Herbert can make just about every throw on the field, Not only his Herbert accurate, but he has shown athleticism throughout his career, as well as the ability to throw on the run.

Pick 16- Henry Ruggs III- WR- Alabama

Henry Ruggs to the Raiders is a very popular expectation right now, and Ryan Wilson from CBS also agrees. Ruggs is a lightning-quick wideout for the Alabama Crimson Tide, and would come in and immediately be the WR1 that this team has been lacking this season.

Pick 18- Julian Okwara- DL- Notre Dame

Julian Okwara is a physical specimen that has it all. Okwara has impressive explosiveness, good hand fighting, and a great ability to put it all together and get to the QB that most people do not possess.

Pick 16- Laviska Shenault Jr- WR- Colorado

Laviska Shenault Jr has been featured on these lists many times, being a player that can make a big play at any moment. The Raiders receiving group lacks explosiveness and the ability to make plays, something that Shenault will bring to the table.

Pick 18- Yetur Gross-Matos- DE- Penn State

The Raiders pass rush has improved a ton, but there is no question that they could use more pieces. Gross-Matos is a long edge rusher who shows effort that resembles that of Maxx Crosby. Not only can he play edge, but Gross-Matos has played all over the defensive line, making him that much more valuable.
