Oakland Raiders

A few weeks back, as the Raiders were surging and keeping themselves alive in the Wild Card race, many were quick to pencil in this Titans game as another (presumed) win. And yet the resurgence of newly appointed starter Ryan Tannehill gave this team new life and showed on Sunday how dangerous they can be. Dangerous enough to hand Oakland a 42-21 loss, at the Coliseum no less.

For the first half, both the Raiders and Titans were neck and neck, scoring three touchdowns apiece with the score tied 21-21 after two quarters. But despite one turnover from Tannehill, the Titans quarterback still torched Oakland’s secondary for 391 yards through the air, with three touchdowns alongside the yardage.

Derrick Henry added two rushing touchdowns, but the breakout performer was A.J. Brown. Brown torched Oakland for 153 yards receiving and two touchdowns, his longest catch going for 91 yards. Tenessee moves to 8-5 while Oakland drops to 6-7.
