18. Kristian Fulton – Cornerback, LSU
The Raiders secondary seems to be getting worse by the weeks so they could address it both in free agency and in the draft. LSU has a good track record of producing quality defensive backs, and next in line is Kristian Fulton.
Fulton is well built at 6’1 and 190 pounds and is best in press-man coverage given his great feet and patience at the line. Able to mirror receivers and stay in phase with them because of his fluid hips and will make plays on the ball with his great instinct and ball skills.
Now even though he is willing to be physical at the catch point, he is not someone who can necessarily trust to tackle in the run game. Expect some ankle-biting moments from him, but his ability to cover can make up for a few missed tackles. Plus at the moment, the Raiders can’t tackle or cover, so getting one of the two would be nice.
