Second half adjustment

The Raiders went into half time with some momentum, as they had tied the game up at 21, and the Titans had just missed a field goal. Despite the close score, the defense had not done much in  terms of getting stops, so adjustments had to be made to correct that moving forward.

Unfortunately for Raiders fans, no adjustments were made that actually helped the team, as they were blown away on both sides of the ball in the second half. The defense could not get stops, allowing 14 offensive points, and the offense allowed a touchdown of their own, and did not find the end zone through the final two frames.

Sure, Sunday’s second half was atrocious, but was it a real surprise? The Raiders are the worst third quarter team in all of football, and on Sunday, it likely ended any chance they have of making the playoffs in their last season in the Bay Area. As Gruden so eloquently put it, “sickening.”
