If head coach John Gruden hands out awards at the end of the season, the former UCLA Bruin should hands down be the winner. Last season he allowed a sack per game but this season, that mark has dropped to one about every four games.

This past Sunday might have been Miller’s most impressive performance to date as he pitched a shutout – no sacks or quarterback pressures – against one of the league’s’s up and coming pass rushers, Harold Landry.

As impressive as the second-year tackle has been, this weekend brings another difficult challenge.

While the Jaguars’ defense has regressed this season, edge defenders Yannick Ngakoue and Josh Allen have not. Ngakoue, who many feel the Raiders should target during free agency, has compiled six sacks this year bringing his career total to 35.5; which ranks 12th since he entered the league in 2016. Back in April, some felt Allen would be the one to solve Oakland’s pass rush woes and it appears as though those people might have been correct as he is putting together a strong rookie campaign with a draft class-leading nine sacks.

At this point in the season, Miller is no stranger to difficult challenges and he has answered the call just about every time. There is no reason to think this Sunday will be any different and the 2018 first-round pick gets another opportunity to solidify his status as one of the up and coming offensive lineman in the league.
