Jacksonville Jaguars at Oakland Raiders: Three matchups to watch
By Daniel Davis
Maxx Crosby vs. Jawaan Taylor
Maxx Crosby has been a star for the struggling Raiders defense this year, and has been one of the better rookies in all of football. The fourth-round pick has taken his starting role and ran away with it.
The former Eastern Michigan Eagle has compiled eight sacks on the season, with 29 hurries and four hits, and it’s impressive he has almost as many hits as he does sacks. On 39 total pressures, he’s hit the quarterback 12 times, which is encouraging for his future. On the Jacksonville side, Jawaan Taylor is not playing good football at the right tackle position.
In 606 total pass protection snaps, he’s allowed seven sacks, three hits, and 24 hurries. The former second-round pick also has 34 pressures allowed with 12 penalties for 120 yards. Taylor is a very up and down player and hopefully, this is one of his down games.
