Tyrell Williams VS. Chargers Secondary

Tyrell Williams started off this season on a hot streak recording a touchdown in his first 5 games as an Oakland Raider, looking like he was perfectly capable of filling that WR1 role. He soon quickly fell off, as the wide receiving group as a whole struggled with injuries and drops.

During Williams’ first revenge game against the Chargers this year, they largely kept him in check. He only garnished 3 receptions from the 5 targets that he saw, for a total of 25 yards and no touchdowns.

A couple weeks back Tyrell was featured in an article by Nick Ellis as one player the Raiders should move on from when they head to Vegas. Williams needs to have a couple big games these last two weeks to prove hes deserving of the role they brought him for as a WR2/potential WR1. Showing out on Sunday against his former team is a great place to start.
