Raiders break their losing streak

It has been an abysmal month of football for the Raiders and it resulted in a four-game losing streak, the most recent loss ending in an ugly fashion via the last game ever played in Oakland. With the Chargers on deck Oakland is facing a team they have already beaten this season, and will be playing with a very “favorable” crowd even as they travel on the road.

Los Angeles meanwhile is coming off a beatdown of their own, losing to the Minnesota Vikings 39-10 at Dignity Health Sports Park. They’ll be motivated to rid the memory of last week’s debacle, but the Raiders’ motivation for doing the same (should) be greater. Get the win on Sunday, and close the season strong.

The Raiders will be shorthanded (no Josh Jacobs, Trent Brown, or Richie Incognito) and thus the odds may be stacked against them. But Sunday is an opportunity to make a statement and silence the noise. Sweeping the Chargers helps close out the season properly, and the Raiders will do just that on Sunday.
