The Oakland Raiders swept their division rival Los Angeles Chargers with a 24-17 victory on Sunday. Here are three things we learned as the Raiders snapped a four-game losing streak.

Is it conceivable that the final Oakland Raiders team of this era could depart the town in its last season as a playoff team? The Silver and Black were mathematically still within contention for the final wildcard spot but needed plenty of luck to go their way in Week 16, namely a win against the Los Angeles Chargers.

And as luck would have it, it seemed everything went right for the Raiders on Sunday.

Riding a four-game losing streak, including losing the final home game ever played in Oakland, the Raiders added to the win column once more with a 24-17 victory in Los Angeles, which we have come to know as their unofficial “home away from home.”

Despite being undermanned due to injuries, Oakland came out on top early and most importantly, closed out the victory down the stretch.

The Silver and Black move to 7-8 on the season, and amazingly, are playing for a playoff spot come Week 17 on the road. The Raiders are not mathematically out of it yet, and they owe it to these three things we learned from Sunday’s victory.
