In the spirit of the holidays, and playing off the novel “Christmas Carol,” we take a look at five “ghosts” that have haunted the Oakland Raiders.

With the holiday season already upon us, Week 17 quickly approaching, and the Christmas miracle of the Raiders still being alive in the playoffs there is plenty to be thankful for. This has been quite a whirl wind of a season from the jump, but largely in part it has been better then most have expected.

Many within Raider Nation thought and hoped the success they’ve had would be a reality this year, but majority of the national media barely expected the Raiders to win 6 total games, let alone be 6-4 through the toughest part of their schedule.

But what would the caroling of this Christmas season be without the struggles and misfortunes that have come along the way. Making the playoffs only once in 2002 has been a nightmare in itself, but we dive a bit deeper in this piece, highlighting some of the players who have haunted this franchise.
