The Oakland Raiders close out the season against the division rival Denver Broncos. Here are three things to watch for in Week 17 with high stakes.

The Oakland Raiders close out an “eventful” season to say the least, on the road, against their division rival Denver Broncos. While so many teams already view the final game on their schedule with little significance, the Silver and Black, on the contrary, have much to play for in Week 17. That in of itself is a testament to the obstacles these Raiders have overcome this season.

As has been noted continuously over the course of the past week, the Oakland Raiders are still mathematically alive for postseason contention, but they will need a few things to go their way on Sunday. Then again, the Raiders are only in this position after a stroke of luck passed their way last week, but the number one priority at hand is the opponent on the schedule.

The Raiders and Broncos met back in Week 1 when Oakland won 24-16 on Monday Night Football. That feels like ages ago, and now the Broncos have a new quarterback in Drew Lock under center. Denver’s play has been a surprise as of late, winning three of their last four contests.

A shot at the playoffs first begins as Oakland caps off their season against their division rival, so be sure to watch these three things once Sunday afternoon arrives.
