Henry Ruggs III has shown up as a selection for the Raiders on a ton of mock drafts recently, and he shows up once again here. The Raiders not only need a WR1 next year, but they also need a receiver with some explosiveness that can open up the field and make plays every time he touches the ball.
Ruggs is highly regarded as the fastest wide receiver in college football, and if he runs a 40 at the combine, everyone will see this. Ruggs can do it all for head coach Jon Gruden, whether it is using his speed to create separation and get open downfield, or whether it is running short, quick routes and being a yards after catch machine.
Gruden would be able to have a lot of fun with his play-calling with Ruggs, something that he cannot do with any receiver currently on the roster. If he is available when the Raiders are up to pick, I am fairly confident that they select him.
