Raiders 2020 7-round mock draft: Las Vegas trades up into second round
By Nick Ellis
Like Calvin Taylor, Jason Strowbridge has the versatility to line up in the interior or edge, something that means a lot when trying to add depth to an already young roster. Playing for North Carolina, he has been a part of the team’s rebirth this season, which culminated in the team’s big victory over Temple in their bowl game.
Strowbridge has recorded 11.5 sacks in his career at UNC, and if the Raiders are not sure about him now, they will have a chance to watch him at the Senior Bowl this year. In one of the Tar Heels biggest games of the season, they played toe-to-toe with the Clemson Tigers, and Stowbridge was one of the team’s defensive stars.
Mike Mayock struck gold with his first draft as a general manager in the NFL, and I believe he has the ammunition to make some incredible additions next April as well. This is a team that made incredible strides this past season, and with multiple first rounders in 2020, they should be able to open up their first season in Las Vegas with a plus-.500 record.
