Pick 14 – Justin Herbert, QB Oregon

Pick 18 – Paulson Adebo, CB Stanford

Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has mocked the Raiders as a potential suitor for two PAC-12 players in the first round, such as Oregon’s quarterback Justin Herbert and Stanford’s cornerback Paulson Adebo.

It’s that time of year where speculation is brought to the forefront whether or not certain players will remain with their team or start next season elsewhere. Last week CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora reported that the Raiders could be looking for a new quarterback this offseason. With that in mind, CBS Sports has linked Justin Herbert as a possible replacement as the team heads off to Las Vegas.

Herbert displays a rifle of an arm and checks all the measurable’s you look for in an NFL quarterback. His mobility is adequate in most situations where he can extend plays in off script situations. One thing Herbert must improve on is not locking in on his first read as he can get predictable at times when doing so.

The Raiders have seen immense growth from their 2019 second round pick Trayvon Mullen, but with Daryl Worley destined to be a free-agent this offseason, they could look towards another young cornerback to build the secondary from the ground up.

Adebo is a natural cover corner with eye-opening instincts and ball skills. The former wide receiver has taken some of his old pass catching attributes and used them to his advantage when making plays on the football. If the Raiders select Adebo in round one, he would slot right into a starting role alongside Mullen, making them one of the youngest cornerback duos in the league.
