The Oakland Raiders hit the road once again in Week 17 to take on the Denver Broncos, and came away with another heartbreaking loss.
In their final game as the Oakland Raiders, the Silver and Black went into Denver to take on the hated Broncos. Despite a late-game push, one that saw them pull within one with under ten seconds left, a missed two-point conversion sent the Raiders to another sub-.500 record.
Week 17 brought familiar territory for Raider Nation, as the team suffered another lost season without a playoff berth, and another season below .500. The 16-15 loss in Mile High technically was played for nothing but pride, as the Tennessee Titans wrapped up the last playoff spot, but it was still a tough one to swallow.
The last game played as the Oakland Raiders will go down as a loss, and we all wanted and deserved better. Despite Derek Carr throwing for his first 300-yard passing game this season, the first touchdown of the game was not until the final drive for Oakland.
Now, after finishing the season 7-9, the Raiders will pack their bags and head to Las Vegas. There will be a lot of question marks going into this offseason, and after another failed season, will we see coach Jon Gruden right the ship, or put together another mediocre season?
Only time will tell, but now lets discuss who earned their game paycheck this week with the three stars from Sunday’s game.
