Ranking the top-10 Oakland Raiders from this past decade
By Matt Holder
7. Michael Crabtree
As previously mentioned, Amari Cooper was one of the most productive wide receivers for Oakland during the decade but his biggest competition for all of those accolades was teammate, Michael Crabtree. The latter accumulated 232 receptions, 2,543 yards, and 25 touchdowns which ranks first, second, and first respectively – the reverse of Cooper – within the timeframe.
For years the 11-year veteran was quarterback Derek Carr‘s favorite target, especially with the game on the line. Many people wanted the Raiders to draft him when he came out of Texas Tech, but the team eventually got him to put on the Silver and Black, and he was a special player for the team once he did.
Beyond the stat sheet, Crabtree put together a handful of clutch moments while donning the Silver and Black, for example, the walk-off touchdown to beat division rival Kansas City in 2017. As a former 49er, he joins the likes of Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott as one of the best players to play for both Bay Area teams and will be the last player in such category.
