5. Week 8, 2016 30-24 overtime victory over Tampa Bay

As previously mentioned, the 2016 season was the only exciting and successful season for the Silver and Black this decade. From players having career years to insane come from behind victories, the 2016 season had it all…including a heartbreak. Before it all went awry, the Raiders played in some crazy games. One of the craziest came on the road in Florida against the Buccaneers in Week 8.

Heading into the week at 5-2 the Raiders were looking to keep their hot start rolling. The team fell behind 10-0 early, but after a field goal and a touchdown to left tackle Donald Penn, the game was tied at 10.

Late in the fourth quarter the Raiders found themselves down 24-17 with a little over three minutes on the clock. Quarterback Derek Carr led the team down the field and hit tight end Mychal Rivera for a touchdown to tie the game at 24.

In overtime, the teams exchanged blows but the defenses held tight. With 1:45 left in overtime, Carr found wide receiver Seth Roberts who somehow managed to squeeze between two Tampa Bay defenders en-route to a walk off touchdown. One of the most memorable moments from the 2016 season, Roberts rifled the ball into the wall behind the uprights after he scored. The Raiders moved to 6-2 and continued their improbable march to a 12-4 record.
