The Raiders rounded out their final season in Oakland with a 7-9 record. With the rollercoaster of a season finally over, here’s the superlatives that we’d handout.

The Oakland Raiders weren’t given much of a realistic chance to make the playoffs at the start the year. However, they shimmied their way to a 6-4 start to the season, making playoff chances somewhat of a possibility.

The Raiders needed to go .500 the rest of the way to likely inch their way into the playoffs, but they couldn’t rally the troops to do so. Instead, they lost five of the last six games, crushing their playoff hopes the deeper it got into the season.

But it’s not all bad, as Jon Gruden’s squad still finished the year with three more wins than last season. They had many positive points, but ultimately the negatives outweighed what looked to be promising, despite still being in playoff considerations in week 17.
